I think it's snowing outside but I can't really tell. It's too dark and there's no lights. I'm just sitting in the kitchen, drinking some orange juice, listening to the p olice scanner and def Jam poetry...

Been busy, still busy/

Chicago last weekend for Illinois College Press Association (ICPA) conference- Placed 1st in the Feature Story category. Kind of unexpected being a photographer but just another thing to add to the resume. Drew, News Editor and writer won 1st in the News Photo category. Weird? Guess that's how we do at the Courier. It's the future of Journalism and it sucks but just the way things are. One of these days, I'll start my own paper where the writers only write and the photogs shoot. I'll keep dreaming.

This weekend, its off to Sterling, IL for the Summit League Track and Field Championships. I got laundry to start/brb/

okay so got track tomorrow. It's really cold in this house (61 degrees). Yeah, so got that tomorrow. We head out at 9am. Then next weekend, or Thursday, heading over to Oklahoma for the basketball championships. It's been a busy 3 weeks, or its going to be anyways. Well.... I'm just trying to type now. I really need to blog more.
Honestly, not a HUGE fan of writing but I am a journalism major so.... It's really not that bad. I enjoy writing features or at least trying to find some creative angle for an otherwise boring press conference or the like.

BIG NEWS!

I got this new phone. It's pretty cool. It's got a camera, bluetooth, qwerty keyboard. It's my first "real" phone. FINALLY off prepaid. I just got a basic plan since I really don't talk that much. I guess thats one of the benefits of being quiet, lower cell phone bills. Alright, I think that's it. I got batteries to charge for tomorrow.

Oh- my 50mm 1.8 got stepped on a few weeks back by a basketball player. That kind of blows. Good thing it wasn't a $1000 lens or something.
